This sculpture was inspired by a small tiny ceramic filter that I found while doing some studio cleaning. Fascinated by the many small square channels and the overall worn geometric forms, I began work on a larger-scale version in clay.

This piece is mainly an exploration of modular structure and form while also revolving around the mystery of its original function.
